I am someone with (magically) a good number of friends. Now here is the usual levels of friendship which technically I do use as a title. My levels are not based on how long I've really known you unless I have known you for a long time. Most of the time it is similarities.
Acquaintance: I have a lot of these. Means I'm staying on friendly terms.
Friend: Sit together at lunch talk between classes.
Good friend: Talk to each other between classes, or in classes, always hoping to be partnered in a project/worksheet.
Best friend: (all of what was stated in Good friend) comfortable with hanging out outside of school, talk via text message, skype.. and go places and to parties :D
Sister/Brother: Only have one to who have ever qualified this level. Lindsey is my sister, and ain't nobody going to replace her ;)
I just wanted to make it clear that it's okay to have levels of friendship. It's not exactly okay to have a favorite though. (this is best friends level) All of my best friends (6) are put to the same level of importance. I mean how can you say you have a favorite? It's like choosing who you love more between your parents. And I do love all of my best friends, and I'm fine with saying it.
Now sister, that's a totally different thing. She has her own level of importance as a part of my family. Highest you can get as a friend to me. I've known her for 13 years. (yes) I love her too (more, because it's a sister love, not a best friend love) because she is my family and she is awesome.
